SLURRY OIL DE-ASHING

Tradebe’s unique process for upgrading heavy oils is based on mechanical separation of catalyst fines through Centrifugation.

• Refineries generate different streams of heavy oils in different refinery units.

• These streams could be contaminated with solids:

  • If stream is used in other units, the presence of solids could reduce yields

  • If stream is used as final product, the presence of solids reduce its market value

  • Examples of heavy oils contaminated with solids:

    • The slurry oil, a heavy aromatic oil, generated by the Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) could carry excess catalyst fines and other inert material

    • Coker Unit could generate heavy oil streams contaminated with coke fines in the blow down process

• Solution includes fixed high speed Centrifugation plants that are able to operate continuously.

• Online treatment, 24 hours a day: 365 days a year.
